Humble Beginnings
HTV Systems Ltd is a small hospital entertainment systems company specializing in bedside televisions, based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Our small size gives us incredible flexibility, and our knowledgeable staff ensure world-class service. We are a wholly Canadian company established in 1992. The owners and management instill a policy of devotion to customer service. Our hands on approach through our knowledge and experience is vital to servicing our customers, patients and facility executives alike.
Tom Riedstra was an electrician working for SteriVision in the 1960's and 70's. An installation technician soon promoted to manager of installations and of operations, he prized efficiency and craftsmanship. He formed a working partnership with Dale Patton, an experienced electrician responsible for the design of several of the technologies that have since become standard in the healthcare entertainment industry.

Service From the Start
HTV was conceived when a serious need for a service oriented competitor was recognized. Tom, Dale, and others with SteriVision history, along with Greg (who came from another industry) began with an all-or-nothing attitude. Installations were soon lined up for several clients, including Vancouver General Hospital, then the nation's largest. The new company quickly found its feet, and a reputation for devoted service to patient entertainment soon materialized. Tom's son, Greg, grew increasingly involved in the company, new hands were hired, and HTV flourished.
Today, the core of HTV is comprised of Greg Riedstra, Dale Patton, and Andy Peerbolt, who provide service to over 100 hospitals nationwide, and employ over 30 personnel and train and advise many others. HTV is pleased to distribute mainly hospital entertainment products designed and manufactured by PDi Communication Systems, Inc.
